DuBose, Priest
Georgia
Caldwell DuBose, baptized and confirmed in the Diocese of
Chicago by Bishop Gerald Burrill, came to Jefferson County,
West Virginia in 1976. She is the mother of Kendra and John
Henry Dale. After her second marriage to retired diplomat
Robert DuBose, she came to St. John's Episcopal Church in
Harpers Ferry in 1998. A former press secretary in Washington
D.C. and journalist in Virginia and West Virginia, she was
ordained through the Diocese of West Virginia's innovative
pastoral training program, Equipping the Saints (a cooperative
venture with Bexley Hall Seminary) in 2006. She is an experienced
retreat leader, who has led retreats at Rolling Ridge Ecumenical
Retreat Center. She is one of the founders of the Harpers
Ferry Ecumenical Association. She is in her second term as
convenor of the South Jefferson County Ministerial Association,
and serves on the board of Jefferson County Community Ministries,
the fund-raising committee for Eastern Panhandle Free Clinic,
and as a volunteer for Good Shepherd Interfaith Volunteer
Caregivers. She loves West Virginia, St. John's, and living
in Harpers Ferry with her dear husband, who assists her in
many ways in her ministry.
