Christmas as St. John's

Lessons and Carols Service

The annual Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols was held on Sunday, December 21st.

Thanks to everyone that contributed to a spectacular Lessons and Carols, and especially to our organizers, Shirley Caniford and Kathy Williams. Shirley put together a program that everyone enjoyed tremendously, and Kathy designed and directed a children's presentation that was charming, witty, original, and very meaningful. Thanks go to Ellie Williams, finder of "the perfect gift, and Micahla Kitchen, our senior acolytes, for leading the children. Richard Stiles was a great St. Nicholas, and whoever writes his material should get extra kudos! Bettye Hayes rejoiced our hearts by leading and playing for the congregational singing.

To all of you who participated, by performing, by reading, by cooking, or by listening, laughing, singing along and praying--thank you so much. It was our great joy to see St. John's so beautiful (thanks again to Shirley [the poinsettia queen!] to Anne Wood and Marjorie Yoe) and full from aisles to walls and front to back with people, music, prayer and laughter. Glory to God!
